Who we are

dbar Labs LLC ("dbar Labs," "we," "us") is a founder-led applied AI lab and implementation studio based in Boerne, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions about this policy or your information: daniel@dbarlabs.com.

02

What we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us, book a call, or buy a service, you give us your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever you choose to share in the booking form, intake questions, calls, or email.

Booking and payment information. Scheduling runs through Calendly, and payment for the AI Opportunity Audit runs through PayPal. Calendly and PayPal collect the information needed to schedule and process payment under their own privacy policies. We receive confirmation details (your name, contact information, appointment time, and payment status), but we do not receive or store your card or bank account numbers.

Engagement information. If we work together, we keep notes from calls, details about your business workflows, project files, and records of what we delivered. With your authorization, we may access systems and data inside your business that the work requires. We treat that access as confidential and use it only for your project, as described in our Service Terms.

Basic website data. Like most websites, our site (hosted on Vercel) receives standard technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic. That tool is designed to record anonymous, aggregated measurements rather than to profile you as an individual.

AI guide conversation. If you use the optional AI guide on this site, the messages you type are sent to an AI provider so the guide can generate a reply. dbar Labs does not keep those chats in its own database. The transcript stays in your current browser session while the page is open and is cleared when you reload the page. Closing the guide without reloading keeps the conversation available if you reopen it. Privacy and AI Limitations links open in a new tab so the guide conversation can remain. Providers may process and retain content under their own terms. Do not share passwords, payment details, health information, or confidential customer data in the guide. The guide attempts to block common sensitive patterns before calling the model, but that is not a guarantee. Do not rely on it as a vault.

Reviewed AI guide summary. If you choose to send a project summary from the guide, you review and edit the summary first, then add your name and email on a separate form and confirm consent. That reviewed summary and contact information are emailed to Daniel through our email provider. The raw chat transcript is not emailed. Retries use the same submission id so duplicate emails are less likely. The ordinary contact question form on this site is separate: it opens a mailto draft and stores nothing on the site.

03

How we use information

  • To respond to you and schedule sessions.
  • To deliver the services you buy: the audit, proofs of concept, and implementation work.
  • To send service-related messages, such as booking confirmations, reminders, delivery updates, and receipts.
  • To keep business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
  • To send marketing email only if you have asked for it or agreed to it.

04

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share your business information with other clients.
  • We do not add you to marketing lists without your permission, and every marketing email we send includes a way to opt out.

05

Who processes information for us

We use a small number of vendors to run the business and deliver work. They receive only what they need to do their job.

  • Scheduling: Calendly.
  • Payments: PayPal.
  • Calendar and video sessions: Google Calendar and Google Meet.
  • Website hosting: Vercel.
  • Website analytics: Vercel Web Analytics.
  • Email: our email provider at dbarlabs.com.
  • AI guide replies: Vercel AI Gateway and the configured model provider when the guide is enabled.
  • AI guide lead email: Resend, used only to deliver the visitor-reviewed summary to Daniel.
  • AI providers used per project, for example OpenAI and similar providers, and other project-specific tools named in your written scope.

Where your project uses third-party platforms, those platforms' own privacy terms apply to the data they process. We tell you which platforms are involved before you commit to a project.

06

Client systems and project data

During implementations we may access your systems, accounts, and data under your authorization. We limit that access to what the work requires, we do not use your data for anyone else's benefit, and we do not use your confidential information to train general models for other clients. Project-specific data handling is described in the Service Terms and your written scope.

07

Retention

We keep your information while we work together and for a reasonable period afterward for records, support, and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it or we need it to resolve a dispute.

08

Security

We limit access to your information to what the work requires and use reasonable safeguards, including access controls and vendor platforms with their own security programs. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. If a security incident ever affects your information, we will inform you and meet our notification obligations under applicable law.

09

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • Confirm what information we have about you and provide a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information.
  • Stop non-essential messages at any time.

Email daniel@dbarlabs.com for any of these. We honor these requests as a matter of policy, including for Texas residents, and we respond within a reasonable time. We do not discriminate against you for making a request.

10

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we ask that children not use this site.

11

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. For significant changes affecting existing clients, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you directly.
